If you only knew...
This morning a client asked me "How in the heck did you LEARN all of this stuff?" By error and error and error. That's the easiest way.
Oftentimes, folks are intimidated by technology because they think that they have to read, digest and remember entire volumes of technological ramblings, better known as Manuals. Not so. Over the years, I have discovered that the best way for me to '...LEARN all of this stuff' is by knowing what I DON'T have to learn. In other words, I attack a project thusly:
- I just jump right in
- When I hit the wall (usually within the first 3 minutes), THEN I pick up the 'book' and flip to the part that solves my immediate problem. That usually works until I hit the next wall, usually within the next 3 minutes.
- In addition to the 'book', I have learned to 'Google' my problems and issues. Whatever the problem is, someone else has had the same problem and was kind enough to post a solution for me. I now 'Google' EVERYTHING!
After about 10 years of running into walls every few minutes, I not only have a REAL good idea of how to approach and solve a technical problem, but I also have a really flat nose.
The Websites that you see above were all developed with and powered by a Web 2.0 platform called Joomla!. Each site presented different kinds of technical issues with a huge variety of creative solutions.
The Services that you see above, are the many digital 'products' that I offer for sale: From photography services to website design services to making e*Books from your .pdfs. All of these services are by-products of the '...stuff I had to learn' in order to solve problems for my clients.
So there you have it. This website was created to give you an idea of what I do, what I know and how I know it. Please enjoy it - I did! |
